Description: Artists use a variety of methods and materials to communicate through art. They might use oil paints, watercolors, pencils, clay, chalk, or even scrap metal to create artworks. Visual artists are usually called graphic artists or fine artists. Graphic artists use art to meet the needs of business clients, such as stores, ad agencies, and publishing firms. Fine artists create artwork to sell and display in museums or galleries. More than half are self-employed and must use good business skills to be successful.
