Description: Broadcast and sound engineering technicians work with electronic equipment to record and transmit radio and television programs. They operate, install, and repair microphones, TV cameras, tape recorders, and antennas. They often work holidays, weekends, and evenings for news programs. When disasters happen, they must be on the scene to record the news. Setting up equipment sometimes requires heavy lifting and climbing.
