Barbers, cosmetologists, and other personal appearance workers
Description: These workers help people look their best. They cut, shampoo, style, color, and perm hair. They may fit customers for hairpieces, shave male customers, and give facial massages and advice on makeup. Many cosmetologists are trained to give manicures. They also keep customer records and order supplies. These workers spend a lot of time on their feet. Many work part time, and many are self-employed.
