Painters and paperhangers
Description: Painters and paperhangers make walls look clean and attractive by applying paint or wallpaper to them. They paint outside walls with special paints that protect the walls from weather damage. Painters mix paints to match colors, then brush and roll the paints onto surfaces. Sometimes they rag-roll, splatter, or sponge on a second coat of paint in a different color. Paperhangers apply sizing and wallpapers and add decorative borders. Many are self-employed and work outdoors or seasonally.
