Brickmasons, blockmasons, and stonemasons
Description: These workers lay sidewalks and patios, build fireplaces, and install ornamental exteriors on buildings. Brickmasons work with firebrick linings in furnaces and with bricks. Blockmasons work with concrete blocks. Stonemasons work with natural and artificial stones. They often build walls on churches, office buildings, and hotels. These workers are outdoors in all types of weather. They must be strong enough to move heavy materials. Many are self-employed.
