Default A problem on Wheel and revolutions

Help required to solve algebra 1 homework problem

A wheel that has 14 cogs is meshed with a smaller wheel of 6 cogs. When the smaller wheel has made 21 revolutions, then what is the number of revolutions made by larger wheel?

Thanks

14 : 6 = x : 21

x = (21 * 6) / 14

You can count the cogs, 21 revolutions * 6 cogs = 126 cogs
Divide the whole number of cogs though the number of cogs on the larger wheel. They have the same distance on the larger wheel.
126 / 14 = 9

If the small wheel makes 21 revolutions then it turns through 21 x 6 = 126 cogs.
The larger wheel then makes 126/14 = 9 revolutions
