Default Calculus question?

(a) If G(x) = x/(1 + 2x), find G '(a).andUse it to find an equation of the tangent line to the curve y = x/(1 + 2x) at the point (-1/4, -1/2).

G(x) = x/(1 + 2x)G'(x) = 1/(1+2x) -2x/(1+2x)^2 = 1/(1+2x)^2soG'(a) = 1/(1+2a)^2We need to find the slope at a = -1/4.G'(-1/4) = 1/(1 - 1/2)^2 = 1/(1/4) = 4Let m be the slope. Then the tangent will have an equation of the form y = mx + b = 4x +b. We know that (-1/4, -1/2) is on the line so-1/2 = 4(-1/4) + bb = -1/2 +1 = 1/2y = 4x + 1/2 is the equation of the tangent
