Ways to find square roots:
1) Use a calculator
2) Factor the number
3) Use a complicated algorithm

Option 2)
Say you want to find the square root of 7056. You factor it and find
7056 = 2 X 2 X 2 X 2 X 3 X 3 X 7 X 7
You can re-write that as:
7056 = 2 X 2 X 3 X 7 X 2 X 2 X 3 X 7
7056 = (2 X 2 X 3 X 7) X (2 X 2 X 3 X 7)
Since 2 X 2 X 3 X 7 = 84,
7056 = 84 X 84
The square root of 7056 is 84

Is that what you needed to know? Probably not.
