Find x and y intercept in standard function-HOMEWORK

how do you find the x and y intercept
and ther vertex of a standard function
(x-1)^2+1

If I understand what you are serching for, this should be the answer:
(x-1)^2+1 = x^2 - 2x +1 +1 = x^2 - 2x + 2 ----> = 4 - 4*2 = -4
So there is no answer for y=0. But If you can imagine the function, palce x=0 and you'll get y=2.
