![]() Combine like variables on each side of the = operator:2x + 29/12 = 32x = 7/12Then isolate x:x = 7/24or x = 0.292

![]() It should be x +(5/3)+x+(3/4)=3.then it can converted to 2X=3-(5/3)-(3/4)which is 2x+ 3-(1.67)-(.75)which is 2x= .58which is x= .29Check it this way:.29+1.67+.29+.75=3You're welcome

![]() x+5/3+x+3/4=3 original problem2x+20/12+9/12=3 find common denominator2x+29/12=3 add fractions24x+29=36 mulitiply everything by 12 to rid of fractions24x=7 subract 29 from both sidesx=7/24 divide by 24 on both sides the problem with koolio's answer is that when she tried to find the common denominator of 5/3 and 3/4, she multiplied the 3 of 3/4 by 5 instead of 3

![]() First Simplify to 2x + 5/3 + 3/4 = 32x + 20/12 + 9/12 = 32x + 29/12 = 36/12 (3 is the same as 36/12)subtract 29/12 from 36/12and you get 2x = 7/12now multiply both sides by the recipricol of 2, which is 1/2 and you get:x = 7/24
