![]() like errors, outfield assists, double plays, pickoffs...also i think that the pitchers statistics should count. because the american league has to deal with the DH so i think its fair in the end.well, i don't think RBIs are fair because if your teammates never get on base; or wins, i have matt cain and his record is like 3-11 with an era of like 3.50. if he picked up 10 wins nobody would have said anything.

![]() Some custom leagues do count things like errors, caught stealing. It would just be too much effort to follow and ****yze all that data. Sounds like you are ready for a sabermetric league.

![]() You can join or create custom leagues. The league I am commissioner of has thirteen stats for batters, and thirteen for pitchers. We get pretty in depth. Have some fielding stats, and some overall not widely used fantasy stats.

![]() Part of the problem is that all players do not have an equal chance in every game to get a stat. All players usually get 3-4 appearance at the plate and have a equal chance in getting a hit, drive in a run,etc.etc..The only stat you may want to consider is fielding % . But as the previous person stated , you can create any catergory you want in creating your league.

![]() Today, there are a lot more options. When fantasy baseball started the guys were limited to the info in a typical box score. Offense is still a lot more glamorous than defense.

![]() because while defense wins games it doesnt get people excited and it doesnt sell tix, thats why baseball didnt care about steroids for so long, runs where up, fans where coming in droves, for smone reason people cant appreaciate the 1-0 or 2-1 games
