(1) (sqrt(3)+sqrt(5))*(2sqrt(3)-3sqrt(5)) = 6 - 3sqrt(15) + 2sqrt(15) - 15 = -9 - sqrt(15)(2) 6/(sqrt(5) - sqrt(2)) *(sqrt(5) + sqrt(2))/(sqrt(5) + sqrt(2)) = 2sqrt(5) + 2sqrt(2)(3) find common denominators. flip the bottom fraction and multiply it by the top. final answer = (4x+3)/(3x-4)(4) sqrt(2x-7) +5 = 8 sqrt(2x-7) = 3 (sqrt(2x-7))^2 = 3^2 x = 8
