Solution: Let x = Number of Student tickets sold y = Number of adult tickets sold x+y = 408 ---- (1) x = 2y ----- (2) Put x value into equation (1), 2y + y =408 3y = 408 y = 408/3 y = 136 x = 2*136 =272 Therefore, Number of Student tickets sold is 272 Number of adult tickets sold is 136 |
