I dropped a ball from 3ft,6ft, and 12ft. For each of those positions i have to use the position function to calculate the times. My original times were .56,.61,.87. The books position function is s(t)=-16t(squared)+initial velocity(in ft)+original height. I also have to verify this algebraically. Can someone please help me? What time are you calculating for? the time it takes to hit the ground?

![]() When you drop a book at 12 feet, the initial velocity is 0. So the position function is:
