Hey everybody, I need some help with the following equations:
-g + b =y solve for b
a/b = c solve for a
x/y = z solve for x
x/y + k = p solve for x
xyz = m solve for y
c = 5p + 215 solve for p
0.4x - 0.2 = 1

1. -g + b = y
-g + g + b = y + g
0 + b = y + g
b = y + g

2. a/b = c
b(a/b) = bc
(b/b)(a) = bc
1(a) = bc
a = bc

3. Same as number 2.

4. x/y + k = p
x/y + k - k = p - k
x/y + 0 = p - k
x/y = p - k
y(x/y) = y(p - k)
(y/y)(x) = y(p - k)
1(x) = y(p - k)
x = y(p - k)

5. xyz = m
yxz = m
(yxz)/(xz) = m/(xz)
y = m/(xz)

6. c = 5p + 215
c - 215 = 5p + 215 - 215
c - 215 = 5p + 0
c - 215 = 5p
(c - 215)/5 = 5p/5
(c - 215)/5 = p

7. 0.4x - 0.2 = 1
0.4x - 0.2 + 0.2 = 1 + 0.2
0.4x + 0 = 1.02
0.4x = 1.02
0.4x/0.4 = 1.02/4
x = 0.255
