Math Joke

I had a friend of mine e-mail me that an engineer put this up on the overhead near the holidays at one of her last meetings. I cant figure it out and neither can she. I thought I would ask the math guru's for some help?

I guess each expression between the parenthesis will show a letter and spell two words. Let me know what everyone thinks?

it's a message that has to do with certain formulas mc2 is actually which relates to so (mc2) stands for e i know (pV) has to do with a oil formula. try typing each formula on google and figuring it out.
