Default Math Problem??

It takes 10 people working at the same rate 5 hours to pick 300 apples. How many hours would it take 1 person to pick 300 apples at this same rate??Please explain how to do it.

300apples/5hours = 60 apples per hour60apples/10people = 6 apples per hour per person300apples/6 apples per our per person = 50 hours for one person to do 300 apples.Or your could just look at it as 1 is 1/10 of 10 so it would take one person ten times as long.

5 * 10 = 50It should take 1 person, 10 times longer to do a job of 10 people!

1 person will work at 1/10th the rate of 10 persons and hence will take 5 x 10 hours = 50 hours
