First Outer Inner Last1.(x+4)(x-2)First Terms x multiplied by x equals x^2Outer Terms x multiplied by -2 equals -2xInner Terms 4 multiplied by x equals 4xLast Terms 4 multiplied by -2 equals -8So you have x^2 -2x +4x -8 then you combine like terms and put into descending order. The only like terms in this problem that you have are -2x and 4x which will equal 2x. So in the end you answer will be:x^2 +2x -82.(-2x -3)(3 –x)-6x +2x^2 –9 +3x2x^2 -3x – 9
