Default Probability...?

I need to find the question about.. & its answer.the question follows the "EXPONENTIAL LAW"& has to do with why this law is known as 'the law without memory'.the teacher was supposed to explain it but for some reason she did not. all she said is that its about:a patient waiting for his turn at the doctor's clinic, and how the probability of his turn to come or not is 'not effected' by how long he's already been waiting.you might know a similar question so please write it with it's answer, my exam is tomorrow!!!!!!! thanks

the law of no memory is simple all it explains is that the odds you will get today (on a random event) will be the same tomorro (in the same circumstances). So say you flip a coin 49 times and it comes up heads everytime, what the probability of it coming up tails?......50 / 50! the coins has no memory, and carn't remember what has past.
