find slope-intercept form of the line passing through the point(-5,6) and parallel to the line y=-2x-6.

believe it or not, the answer is your line's equation.y = - 2x - 6since y = mx + b (being that m = slope and b = y-intercept)draw the point(-5,6) in a plane and go down 2 points then go forward 1. (slope = -2/1) You'll end up in -6, which is your y-intercept already.
