Default This question is about random variable and probability distributions?

An experiment is conducted where two standard 6 sided dice are rolled and the sum of the numbers that show face up is recorded.A. What values can the random variable assume?B. List the probability distribution of the random variable?Can someone help me answer this question pleasee..

Random variables takes values from 1-6.prob. of each of them is one sixth.then you can find CDF and its derivative pdf using above facts.read books!!!!

Here is the correct answer:The random variable can take values of 2-12.The probability distribution is:2 and 12 w/prob 1/36 each3 and 11 w/prob 2/36 each4 and 10 w/prob 3/36 each5 and 11 w/prob 4/36 each6 and 8 w/prob 5/36 each7 w/prob 6/36you can reduce those probabilities if you like
