2(3x - 1) - 2(2x + 5) simplifies to a) 10x + 12 b) 2x - 12 c) 2x + 8 d) 10x + 8

Distribute first6x - 2 - 4x - 10Collect like terms2x - 12Answer b is correct.

2(3x - 1) - 2(2x + 5) - distribute coefficients(6x - 2) - (4x + 5) - distribute minus sign6x - 2 - 4x - 10 - combine like terms2x - 12b) 2x - 12________

B)remember, the "-2" is outside the parenthesis (must multiply all the inside by -2).6x - 2 - 4x - 10 = 2x -12

Well,the answer is straight forward:6x-2 - 4x -10 = 2x - 12The option b is correct!!!!
