Can U figure this out

My friend told me this and I figured it out in like 30 seconds(NO LIE) and I wanna see if u ppl can figure it out(I think this is from a book or cartoon tho but it is tricky)the are to versions:
Version 1 Version 2
What walks on 4 legs What walks on 4 legs
Then 2 legs Then 2 legs
Then 6 legs?? Then 3 legs???

Its a person b/c when u r a baby u crawl on a 4's so that is 4 legs. when you learn how to walk ur on 2 that is 2 and when you get older like 60 or sumthing u are on 3 b/c u have a cane. That's the answer to the first version. The second verison is the same except when ur walking on 6 legs that is when ur old and you have a walker which ads 4 extra legs to the 2 attached 2 ur body. Got it??
