Huh? Wait, no.

0.5 times 100 is 50.

0.12 times 100 is 12.

If you have 0.5-0.12,
you then get 50-12.
Then, once you do the minusing (bad grammar), you get 38.
38 divided by 100 is 0.38.

Get it?
