Default Math word problem help?

A jar contains 76 coins consisting of dimes and quaters, worth a total of $13.90. How many dimes are in the jar?

d = number of dimesq = number of quarters10d + 25q = 1390d + q = 76 (mult by -10)-10d - 10q = -76015q = 330q = 22d = 76 - 22 = 54 dimes
