actually your wrong this is a complex trinomial factoring.

6X^2-7x+2
= ( 3x-2)( 2x-1)

That is the awnser and to check if its right you should expand the awnser and you should get the intial question. archive if your still confused i can show you how i got my awnser.

03-06-2007 #4 Temperal Guest   Posts: n/a I know! That's absurdly easy! But you can't solve that! He said 6x^2-7x+2, not 6x^2-7x+2=0! Complex trinomial factoring? This is the basic stuff you learn in kindergarden! (An exaggeration, but I do not appreciate being insulted) Next time you say I'm wrong, actually check if I'm really am wrong. (Which I never am. ) Last edited by Temperal; 03-06-2007 at 07:04 PM..
03-06-2007 #5 keenan Guest   Posts: n/a doesn't matter lol he doesn't need an equal signs i have seen the text book that has similar questions it doesn't need an equal sign, because it does not effect the question or the awnser at all. first of all they do not introduce factoring in kindergarten alright and yes you are wrong if you read the question the first place it was a factoring question and that is a complex trinomial because of the coffecifent in front of the x ( the 6) Last edited by keenan; 03-06-2007 at 07:08 PM..
03-06-2007 #6 Temperal Guest   Posts: n/a Oh, and to clean up keenan's wrong answer, if you mean that expression equals 0, then 3x-2=0 OR 2x-1=0 Therefore x=2/3 OR x=1/2
03-06-2007 #7 Temperal Guest   Posts: n/a He said "answer", which means find x, you. He did not ask to factor it randomly like you know that it's equals 0. Trust me, I'm a lot smarter than you.
03-06-2007 #8 keenan Guest   Posts: n/a omg lol he said factor not find x looooool buddy read the question. read the title of the thread FACTORING since your so smart why don't you expand my awnser and you will see that it works out. Last edited by keenan; 03-06-2007 at 07:14 PM..
03-06-2007 #9 Temperal Guest   Posts: n/a He said "answer". The topic title merely referred to the method that would be needed. He forgot a vital element: the equality, so I reminded him. Don't argue with me.
03-06-2007 #10 keenan Guest   Posts: n/a But the title of the thread is factoring therefore the awnser wants you to factor you just misinterpreted the question and took it too far.
