Can I post a problem manually for no points Anyway, here is one of my homework problems: In how many ways can you sell $5 and$3 pumpkins to make $200? It's a diophantine equation. Let x=#of$5 pumpkins, and y=# of \$ 3 pumpkins. 5x+3y=200 Solve for x, x=40-3y/5 So y must be a multiple of 5. It goes up to until 40-3y/5 is negative. __________________ . 04-13-2007 #7 Temperal Guest   Posts: n/a Diophantine equations are fun, though I have trouble understanding exponential ones. EDIT: Here's my proof of the $e^{\pi i}=-1$ thing. I already posted this in my blog on AOPS, but here's the original handwritten. Attached Thumbnails   Last edited by Temperal; 04-13-2007 at 12:42 PM..
